“Muang Thai Insurance” received the 2022 Model of Sustainable Organization in the Thai Capital Market Award, categorized in the empowerment of persons with disabilities, from the Securities and Exchange Commission.
On November 21, 2022, Muang Thai Insurance Public Company Limited received the “2022 Model of Sustainable Organization in Thai Capital Market Award, categorized in the empowerment of persons with disabilities”. This award was provided by the Securities and Exchange Commission in cooperation with the Ministry of Labour, the Department of Skill Development, the Department of Employment, the Department for Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, the Thai Listed Companies Association, and Disabilities Thailand. In this award ceremony, Apithorn Amatayakul, Deputy Managing Director of MTI, was a representative of MTI receiving this award from Boonchob Suthamanuswong, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Labour and the award presenter, at the Grand Hyatt Erawan Bangkok hotel.
Nualphan Lamsam, the president and chief executive officer of Muang Thai Insurance (MTI), stated that “this award is another source of pride for our company, and it also emphasizes that our business is operated under good governance, which aims to bring great benefits to society. Since 2014, Muang Thai Insurance has done projects that empower and improve the quality of life for people with disabilities.These projects were based on the Persons with Disabilities Empowerment and Development Act, Section 35, on creating career opportunities for people with disabilities. Moreover, Muang Thai Insurance is ready to cooperate with the private sector to continue helping people with disabilities. To optimize the well- being of people with disabilities, this cooperation has also supported the career opportunities for more than 300 people with disabilities in 10 provinces.”
